Measure the coffee
Generally, use 1 to 2 tablespoons
of coarsely ground coffee per
6 ounces o water, depending
on your taste preference.
Add it into the filter.

Add water
Fill the coffee maker’s water reservoir
with the amount of water you need
for your desired number of cups.

Start brewing
and enjoy!

Prep the machine
Turn on the espresso machine and allow it to heat up. It’s crucial that the machine is at the right temperature for brewing.

Grind the coffee
Grind the coffee beans to a fine consistency, similar to table salt.

Fill the portafilter basket
with the finely ground coffee. Use a tamper to evenly press down on the coffee grounds.

Insert the portafilter into the espresso machine’s group head and extract the espresso. The machine will force hot water through the compacted coffee grounds, producing a concentrated shot of espresso. The extraction time should be around 25 to 30 seconds for a standard shot.

Once the extraction is complete, you’ll have a shot of espresso in your cup. Enjoy it as is or use it as a base for other espresso-based drinks.

Grind the coffee beans
to a fine consistency, similar to table salt. You’ll need around
1 to 2 ounces of coffee grounds for a typical Americano.

Prepare the espresso
Use your espresso machine to brew a shot or double shot of espresso. The amount of espresso you use will depend on the strength you desire. A standard single shot of espresso is about 1 ounce, and a double shot is about 2 ounces.

While the espresso
is brewing, heat the water
to just below boiling,
around 200°F.

Fill your cup with the desired
amount of hot water.
For a standard Americano, you might use about 6 to 8 ounces of hot water.

Pour the freshly brewed espresso shot(s) into the cup with the hot water.

Adjust to taste
The strength of your Americano can be adjusted by changing the ratio of espresso to hot water. If you prefer a stronger flavor, use less water. For a milder taste, add more water.

Measure coffee
Use a ratio of around 1:15 or 1:16 coffee to water. For example, for 1 cup of coffee, use
1 to 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee. Add the coffee to the French Press.

Pour it over the coffee grounds
in the french press

Use a stirring utensil to gently stir the coffee and water to ensure even saturation.

Place the lid on the French press with the plunger pulled all the way up. Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes.

After the brewing time, slowly press down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.

Serve and enjoy!

Fill the bottom chamber with cold, fresh water up to just below the safety valve. Using hot or boiling water is not recommended, as it can lead to overheating the coffee during the brewing process.

Fill the filter basket with the coarsely ground coffee, leveling it off without pressing it down. Do not tamp or compress the coffee; it should be loosely filled.

Assemble the Moka pot by placing the filled filter basket onto the bottom chamber filled with water. Make sure the seal is clean and in good condition to prevent leaks.

Place the Moka pot on a stovetop burner. It’s essential to use a moderate heat setting to avoid burning the coffee.

Remove the Moka pot from the heat source as soon as you hear a gurgling sound. This indicates that the brewing process is complete.

Pour the freshly brewed coffee from the top chamber into your cup and enjoy!
